It’s a very thinly veiled metaphor for racism and segregation but its delivered in the form of a trite overly colorful sweet musical its like. SO for what it is, a DCOM for babies, its like very good at being exactly that.īUT the second level i enjoy it on is just the fact that its like… some kind of completely bizarre spectacle.
Also i think the characters are genuinely very likeable, especially zed he’s literally so awesome. and its just fun and the songs are catchy. Self-reliance and perseverance to complete any job.

The movie setting is very stimulating and i can imagine how fun it would be for a child to watch it and imagine themselves in the zombies universe! plus the message of the movie is very clear and easy for a kid to understand. ZOMBIES however seem like it could be enjoyed by about any type of child. As a boyish girl with no musical inclinations i had literally ZERO interest in any of those movies, in fact i despised them and went out of my way not to watch them because they were about stupid girl stuff.
As a kids movie i think it’s great, id say much better then the DCOMs they were peddling when i was a child (highschool musical, camp rock). Like one i just kind of unironically think its good for what it is. Im so obsessed with disney zombies but like in multiple different ways all at the same time.
